Conventional Dentures - The Classic Option

Conventional dentures are the full sets of removable fake teeth that most people are familiar with. They rest on your gums and are held in place by natural suction, your jaw shape, or denture adhesive paste (yep, the stuff in the commercials!). No implants or surgery needed — they're made in a dental lab and fitted to your mouth.

 Benefits:
• No surgery required — great if you're not a candidate for implants
• Most affordable full-arch tooth replacement option
• Can be made relatively quickly
• Easy to clean — just take them out and rinse!

 Risks:
• Can slip, click, or feel loose — especially when eating or laughing
• Over time, your jawbone shrinks without tooth roots, making fit worse
• May need adhesive paste to stay in place
• Can feel bulky or affect taste and speech at first
• Typically need to be replaced every 5–7 years as your jaw changes shape.

 Alternatives:
If you want more stability without full implant surgery, overdentures (snap-on dentures) are the next step up. For
a fully fixed smile, All-on-X implants are the gold standard.
